Our panel will discuss the challenges they face in keeping the power industry one-stop ahead of the needs of fast-expanding economies. We can expect debate on different approaches to plant ownership and development, the implications of limited fuel supplies, attracting finance and identifying technologies that will be deployed over the next 20-30 years. The debate will likely look at progress on regional interconnections, the impact of global events on the region, what role alternative power generation sources could play and the expected game-changers such as the emergence of prosumers, the increase in distributed generation, roll out of smart technologies and emerging impact of electric vehicles.
