The first edition of SG PARIS brought together the key market players. 530 people took part in the conferences, of which 33% were from utilities firms. The conference programme provided an exhaustive national and international overview of current research, future regulatory standards, technical solutions and recent experiences in the smart energy networks field. Debates focused on the economic, regulatory, legal, industrial and social implications of these developments.

The industry professionals who attended the 2011 congress appreciated the quality of the presentations, the strategic vision of the subjects tackled and the clarity of debates. The conference featured round table discussions and practical workshops. It notably focused on providing feedback and examining tangible solutions.

Subjects to be covered in 2012 will include:

  • Data security in Grid communications
  • Management software
  • Upstream meters
  • The interoperability of smart objects
  • BPL communication technologies
  • Microgrid projects
  • Security and protection of the private sphere
  • Sensors dedicated to network quality and monitoring
